I think you got a B from your teacher because he must've thought that the typical "Hula" girl is too cliche.
Hula was modernized for tourism...but in reality it was a form of REAL spiritual and ceremonial significance.
Even the lei's were added for Hollywood's sake (to hide a woman's breasts)
But since you did make it artistic well done...I can see that you got a pretty decent grade on it.
